Q: How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
You should be well rested and make sure you eat beforehand. We recommend you wear loose and comfortable clothing so nothing will be rubbing on your fresh tattoo. Or if you are getting a leg tattoo, bring a pair of comfy shorts to change into. Do not come drunk or take anything else that will thin out your blood. Please make you are showered before you come in, hygiene is as important for us as it is for you! Also please don’t shave beforehand, if you get razor burn or an ingrown hair, we can’t tattoo the area. Don’t worry, we got you covered.
Q: How do I take care of your tattoo?
Keep your tattoo clean. You can shower normally, just no baths. Anything that involves soaking your tattoo is not good for the healing process. So that includes no saunas, steam rooms, swimming, hot tubs etc.
Keep your bandage on for a minimum of four hours, maximum of twelve. If an artist gives you the Saniderm bandage, you can leave it on for up to two days. Once your bandage comes off, make sure you give it a good clean with unscented soap and water. You do not need to re-bandage it.
You will need to moisturize your tattoo, but only once it starts to flake/dry out/feel tight. Putting moisturizer on too early will cause the tattoo to not heal properly. We recommend just using unscented lotion, a vitamin e cream or ointment, or any other tattoo aftercare.
Do not pick or scratch at your healing tattoo. If it is itchy, then just moisturize it, give it a good slap, or scratch around it.
Keep your fresh tattoo out of the sun for at least two weeks.
Make sure your pets do not touch your fresh tattoo.
If something does go wrong in the healing process and you need a touch up, we do honour one free touch up within a year.
Q: How do I know which artist is best for me?
A: We all have our own unique style and specialities. Check out our artist profiles or Instagram pages to see which artist is best suited for what you would like.
Q: How much will my tattoo cost?
A: Our shop minimum is $80 and we have $140 an hour. For portraits and custom script we charge per piece. You can contact us individually through instagram DMs for a quote estimate or email the shop and request an artist.
Q: How do I book my appointment?
A: You can call us at 416-593-4161, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or DM us individually on Instagram. Most custom tattoos require a consultation. In person is preferred but if you are out of town or are not able to make it, you can send us an email with a detailed description of what you would like done with reference photos if possible. We require a $60 deposit for all appointments but WALK-INS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! You might have to wait a bit if you walk in, but if you call ahead of time we can let you know ahead of time if we have space available and what time.
Q: How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
A: You have to be at least 18 years old to get tattooed, or 16 with a parent with you to sign our waiver.
Q: What is your cancelation policy?
A: Deposits are non-refundable. You need to give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule your appointment to retain your deposit. Please call/email/DM your artist that you need to cancel or reschedule.
Q: Can I bring people with me while I get tattooed?
A: You are definitely allowed to bring a friend or two, but please don’t bring a crowd! Moral support from a friend or family member can make your tattoo experience less stressful.
Q: Do you do cover up tattoos?
A: Yes! We always recommend doing an in person consultation for cover ups, because we will have to see if a cover up is even possible. The cover up has to be darker than what you already have tattooed, so certain images will not work.
